Art, particularly painting for me, is a pilgrimage into the wonderful world. This is quite a journey into deep musing towards the words of ecstasy. A perfect space where I can communicate with both ends of consciousness. It is a state of losing oneself in the unknown's paradise, searching in the limitlessness. That is the joy of creativity, of eternal bliss.
The purpose of art is not to produce the monotonous surface reality but to go to its roots and explore it from every angle. Abstract art does not represent the material world but something beyond that.
Generally, people want to see reality in art. There is something in their mind to see real things. But abstract art has its own language. You have to enjoy it without interpretation, read it through your eyes. It is a language of colours. It is like classical music. Without knowing the notes of ragas, you can enjoy music of swaras (notes). The art of painting in beyond our common experience. This is like seeing or visualizing the hidden meaning of an object.
Artists express their feeling through colours, shades, shapes, texture and lines. To me, painting is like searching in the limitlessness.
I have explored curvilinear forms. Circle represents completeness. Line is like a movement. Curves indicate softness and flow. Layers show the action and direction. Layers show a sense of depth.
Colours used depict the journey from nothingness to emergence. That is how I choose to paint as a medium to investigate universal theme as creation and inner awakening. Using symbolic geometries, I create spaces where the visible and invisible meet.
I associate them with forms. These forms are accepted by the Hindu religion as symbols of energy. To concentrate, you require faith in certain forms, which represent our God and Goddess in their miniature form.
My work is an interpretation of my experiences on a quiet journey into the world of spirituality. That is why my artworks create a scenario that is pleasing, calming the mind and transports the viewer into a meditative state of mind.
The soul of my paintings lies in the density of my lines, the gradation of colours, and the play of light. My work celebrates geometry and symbolism.
Viewers get connected with my art seeing chakras, triangles feeling the positive vibes.
